15th Annual JJC Pow Wow March 12, 2011


The college will host its 15th annual Pow Wow on Saturday, March 12, from noon to 9 p.m. on the Main Campus.

Daylong activities include Native American dancing and music along with a variety of vendors exhibiting and selling crafts. Native American food will also be available from noon to 6 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Volunteers are again needed for the admission tables. All volunteers receive a meal ticket and a Native American Club t-shirt; if you are interested contact Fred Harris at fharris@jjc.edu or Laurie Bierman at lbierman@jjc.edu.

The Pow Wow is sponsored by the JJC Native American Club and the Office of Student Activities in cooperation with the American Indian Center of Chicago. Grand Entries will be 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children. Children under 2 are free.
