JJC to Host Discussion “Persecuted Peoples of Iraq” April 14

Joliet Junior College will host the discussion “Persecuted Peoples of Iraq” on Thursday, April 14, fromt 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road in Joliet. The talk is free and open to the public.

The discussion, which will be lead by Juliana Taimoorazy, founder and director of the Iraqi Christian Relief Council, will center on the suffering of Assyrians in both Iran and Iraq.

Taimoorazy is a refugee from Iran. She has spoken at several colleges and universities on this topic, in addition to traveling throughout the U.S. ministering with different churches and groups.

The discussion will be held in in room D-2001 on the Main Campus. It is sponsored by JJC’s Social and Behavioral Sciences Department.
