Joliet Junior College interim president Dr. Frank Zeller and staff as well as IDOT acting Secretary Ann Schneider and staff also attended in support of the event. Attendees recognized the importance of the upcoming $42 million Joliet Multi-Modal Transportation Center project as well as the networking and connections needed for future projects in the Joliet and Will County area.

IDOT acting Secretary Schneider spoke about the $42 million planned multi-modal facility in Joliet, encouraging Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) to meet with contractors, engineers, and management consultants about Multi-Model and other projects.

The later Business to Business expo event drew over 100 attendees to meet and network with such key area firms as Quigg Engineering, Walsh Construction, and Knight Engineers and Architects. Attendees were also encouraged to connect with key government and service agencies in order to increase their opportunities for securing projects in the construction and transportation fields.
