New Emergency Alert System Effective Oct. 1

The college has partnered with a new company, Rave Mobile Safety, to provide an emergency alert system capable of delivering messages to your JJC and personal email addresses, as well as your land line and cell phone.  This system will be used to contact you about school closings due to severe weather or campus emergencies and will go into effect Oct. 1.
 
All faculty, staff, and credit students have been automatically enrolled in the program. Once the system is deployed Oct. 1, you will receive an email asking you to login to the Rave Mobile Safety site to confirm your contact information and choose your notification preferences.  (Note that your cellular phone provider may charge a per-text message fee for the delivery of emergency notifications to your phone).For overall questions about the system, please contact Kelly Rohder in the Communications and External Relations Office at krohder@jjc.edu or ext. 2915.
