JJC Guitar and Percussion Ensemble Winter Concert Dec. 13

The Joliet Junior College (JJC) Guitar and Percussion Ensembles Winter Concert is Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre on the Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road in Joliet.

The concert will open with the Guitar Ensemble under the direction of Steve Jacobson. The ensemble includes: Randle Campbell of Frankfort; Sean Hall of Lockport; Bradley Katula of New Lenox; Nicholas Kinman of Plainfield; Tony Maas of Bolingbrook; Christopher Mendez of Joliet; and Nicholas Velcich of Romeoville.

Selections will include compositions by Bach, Tchaikovski, Tisserand and others.

The Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Adam Cowger, will feature classical percussion, Brazilian Samba, and rock ā€˜nā€™ roll. The ensemble includes: Michael Amos, Messhasch Bonaparte-Coggins, Elisa Robinson, and Robert Zupancic of Joliet; Dana Goodman of Romeoville; William Brown of Chanhannon; Jason Schmidt and Nathan Doyle of New Lenox; Nic Hart of Pontiac; Robert Young of Homer Glen; Jacob Cepela of Crest Hill; and Andy Gent of Frankfort.

The ensemble will perform selections from Mario Gaetano, Airto Moreira, Mark Ford, Bob Becker, and The Beatles.

Admission for general public is $5, $4 for senior citizens, non-JJC students, JJC faculty and staff and $2 for JJC students and children.
