You’re Invited: JJC celebrates 25 years of baseball Jan. 27

Joliet Junior College will celebrate the last 25 years of JJC baseball with an event on Friday, Jan. 27, hosted by Head Coach Wayne L. King, Jr.
The event, held from 6 to 10 p.m. at Syl’s 150 West Banquet Hall in Joliet, welcomes all JJC former players, coaches, family members, parents and community supporters.
There will be a silent auction of World Series Banners, 50/50 raffle, and JJC apparel will be available for purchase.
“We’re looking forward to a great night,” King said. “There are a lot of things to be proud of and many memories to share.”
During King’s 25 years at the helm of the baseball program at JJC, he has established one of the most successful Division III baseball programs in the NJCAA. Under his leadership, the college has won 14 Region IV titles and two national championships, including the 2008 World Series title. 
Tickets for the Jan. 27 event are $50 per person and include dinner and open bar.
