JJC Gershwin Festival Feb. 12

The Joliet Junior College Fine Arts Department will present a Gershwin Festival on Sunday, Feb. 12, at 3 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre on the college’s Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road, in Joliet. Admission is free.
The Gershwin Festival is part of JJC’s Musica Viva series. The performance will feature soprano Tracey Ford with pianist Philip Spencer; a jazz trio with pianist David Nuccio, bassist Robert Calhoon, and drummer Adam Cowger; pianist Daniela Broderick with the JJC Brass ensemble directed by Charles Morgan; and the JJC Chamber Singers directed by Philip Spencer.
Works to be performed include “Embraceable You,” “I Got Rhythm” and “Rhapsody in Blue.”
