JJC Presents “Shakes Scenes” March 9

The Joliet Junior College Fine Arts Department presents “Shake Scenes,” an evening of monologues and scenes from the works of William Shakespeare on March 9 at 7:30 p.m. and March 10 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre on the Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road in Joliet.
The production, directed by Zach Bloomfield, JJC professor, offers something for everyone from historical plays to comedies. It is stage managed by Beth Sadler of Lockport who will be assisted by Emma McGee of Joliet.
The production features: Kathleen Stevens, Carol Roman and Helen Levy of Romeoville; Faith Berry, Shane Tierney, Sylmarie Soto and Michael Vella of Joliet; Allie DiMiele of New Lenox, Kevin Duffy of Mokena, Sedrick Payne of Plainfield, Jake Thomas of Frankfort and Chance Manzo of Rockdale.
Ticket prices are $8 for general public, $5 for senior citizens and $3 for JJC students with additional discounts available for JJC staff and free for theatre subscription holders.
