Register Today for Relay for Life

Joliet Junior College faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in the 2012 American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of North Will All College at the Lewis University Fieldhouse, April 14 – 15.Register Today for Relay for Life
The event brings together student, faculty and staff teams to celebrate cancer survivors, remember those lost to cancer and support those who are fighting cancer. This year, JJC’s participation is dedicated to the memory of late president Dr. Gena Proulx, who passed away on Aug. 12, 2011 following a courageous three-year battle with fallopian tube cancer. Dr. Proulx was an active supporter and participant of the Relay for Life in past years, and she will be honored at this year’s event.
A collaborative effort between JJC, Lewis University and University of St. Francis, the overnight event consists of teams of people who take turns walking or running around the track throughout the night. Last year, JJC raised over $30,000 for the American Cancer Society. The funds are used to help people get well, stay well, and fight back against cancer.

This year’s event runs from 6 p.m. on Saturday April 14, to 6 a.m., Sunday, April 15 at the Lewis University Fieldhouse: 1 University Parkway, Romeoville, Ill.
