JJC Hosts "Green Fire" Screening April 24
“Green Fire” is the first full-length, high definition documentary film about legendary conservationist Aldo Leopold. The film shares highlights from his extraordinary career and how the environmentalist has shaped conservation and the modern environmental movement.

“Green Fire” illustrates Leopold’s continuing influence by exploring current projects that connect people and land at the local level, said Andy Neill, JJC biology professor. He added that through the film, viewers will meet urban Chicago children learning about local foods and ecological restoration, ranchers in Arizona and New Mexico who maintain healthy landscapes and wildlife biologists preserving threatened and endangered species.

The JJC Sustainability Student Task Force and Natural Science and Physical Education Department will host the screening.
