The 3.1 mile certified race took place primarily on JJC’s scenic Main Campus and Will County Forest Preserve paved trails. The top overall male and female received a $100 cash award and top three men and women in each five-year age category received medals. JJC President Deb Daniels, who also walked in the 5K, presented the winners with their medals.

“We are really pleased with the results from this year’s 5K,” said Kristi Mulvey, director of institutional advancement at the college. “Not only was it a great opportunity to welcome community members to our campus, it brought in a record amount of money that will go directly toward student scholarships. I would like to thank the race participants and our generous community partners who made the 5K such a great success this year.”
