Renaissance Center Hosts Mothers’ Day Brunch May 12

One of the most popular brunches of the year at Joliet Junior College’s Renaissance Center will honor Mother’s Day on Sunday May 12 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. – and this year will be a little different.

Vendors will be at the center to pamper mothers as they wait for their table, according to Susan Stockwell, supervisor of the Renaissance Center. JJC’s Executive Chef Bill Siska has presented this year’s menu, which includes a chef-carved prime rib of beef and a chef-carved roasted pork roast.

Stockwell added that the typically sold out brunch would have surprise decorations around the center for mothers to enjoy.

“In the 18 years that I have worked here, we have a large repeat business that doesn’t miss one year because the food is so delightful,” Stockwell said. “Mother’s Day and Easter brunches are our two most popular brunches. There is an entire mix of moms who attend our brunches.”
