Renaissance Center Hosts Champagne Brunch May 19

Executive chefs and part-time student workers will prepare a delicious champagne brunch on Sunday, May 19, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Joliet Junior College’s Renaissance Center. The Renaissance Center is located at 214 North Ottawa St. in Joliet.
In addition to the home-cooked food, the atmosphere will be filled with decorations in the staircase, dining room, and buffet, said Susan Stockwell, supervisor of the Renaissance Center.
“We place décor for the brunch according to the time of year and theme it differently for each brunch that we do,” Stockwell added.
The meal will include a carving station, omelet and scramble action station, and many other delectable dishes.
Walk-ins are welcome, although reservations are preferred.
On the menu for the Sunday, May 19 Champagne Brunch:
• Omelet and scramble action station
• Bacon
• Sausage patties
• Hash brown potatoes
• French toast with strawberry topping and fresh whipping cream
• Carving station: peppercorn roasted beef with au jus and horseradish sauce
• Champagne chicken
• Whipped potatoes with gravy
• California blend
• Tossed salad with assorted dressings
• Seven layer
• Kidney bean salad
• Cucumber, red onion and tomato salad with homemade vinaigrette
• Fresh fruit with flavored dip
• An array of assorted desserts
• Orange and cranberry juice
• Champagne and mimosas
• Hot coffee and iced tea
 
To make a reservation for the brunch on May 19, community members can call 815-280-1404. Cost is $12.95 for adults, and $9.95 for children 12 and under. There is no charge for children three years and younger.
