Picnic-themed Fathers’ Day Brunch Planned at JJC’s Renaissance Center

It’s time to make reservations for the Joliet Junior College Renaissance Center’s picnic-themed Father’s Day Brunch on Sunday, June 16 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The public is invited and walk-ins are welcome.
 
Last year, 200 guests attended the Father’s Day Brunch, according to Susan Stockwell, supervisor of the Renaissance Center. Stockwell said she hopes more families will join in on the fun this year.
 
“The Father’s Day Brunch is a yearly brunch for families to get together to spend family time together,” Stockwell said.
 
“This year, we added a variety of foods for the fathers to enjoy.”
 
The Father’s Day Brunch menu will include:
• Cream of potato soup
• Make your own omelet
• Peppercorn roasted beef with au jus and horseradish sauce
• Bacon and sausage patties
• Hash brown potatoes
• Biscuits and gravy
• French toast with strawberry topping and fresh whipping cream
• Champagne chicken
• Whipped potatoes with gravy
• Homemade mostaccioli with Italian sausage
• Vegetable medley
• Tossed salad with assorted dressings
• Seven layer salad
• Bruschetta station
• Assorted rolls with whipped butter
• An array of assorted desserts
• Champagne, iced tea, orange juice, cranberry juice, coffee
 
The cost to attend is $13.95 for adults, and $9.95 for children age 12 and under. There is no charge for children under age 3.
