Public Invited to Free 2014 FAFSA and Scholarship Workshops at JJC

Joliet Junior College will hold a series of free FAFSA and Scholarship Workshops in February and March, all open to community members.

The completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is necessary to apply for all forms of government financial aid, which students will have the opportunity to learn more about during the workshops.

There will also be professional assistance available for the online FAFSA application process. No appointment is necessary, and English/Spanish translators will be available. Habrá alguien que hable español para asistir y contestar cualquier pregunta.

In addition to getting assistance from financial aid advisers with the FAFSA, students can get help from the scholarship specialist in applying for scholarships for the 2014/2015 school year.  Attendees can get answers to their questions and receive assistance with the application process. A JJC student ID is required to apply for scholarships, and the deadline to apply is April 1.

To file a 2014-2015 FAFSA, please bring copies of the following:
• 2013 federal income tax forms
