JJC Students Can Get Microsoft Office 365 Free

Joliet Junior College students can now install Microsoft Office Suite 365, SkyDrive Pro, and other programs for free on up to five personal computers or other electronic devices with just their JJC e-mail addresses.

Students will be able to download the following:

  • Word
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • OneNote
  • Access
  • Publisher
  • Outlook
  • Lync
  • InfoPath

Other programs students will be able to access from JJC e-mail now include:

  • Outlook E-mail
  • SkyDrive Pro
  • Contacts
  • Calendar

Students can begin the process by visiting www.jjc.edu/info/email, and clicking on the “Student Login” for Office 365, or by logging in with their student e-mails on the website, www.outlook.com/stu.jjc.edu.

Once logged in, students will notice links for their JJC e-mail, calendar, address book, and SkyDrive Pro on the top right of the welcome screen.

To download Microsoft Office 365, students should click on the “Settings” link, then “Office 365 settings,” and finally “Get Started,” which will take them to the software download page.

“A lot of people think it’s just JJC e-mail, but it’s not. It’s so much more than that now,” said Ernie Rohrbach, IT support technician.

Students can take advantage of these free programs as long as they are taking classes at JJC and for a year after their graduation. The free programs for students went live on Feb. 4.

In addition to computers, students can download these programs to their iPad, iPhone, or Android devices.

For more information about downloading the software, please contact the Student 24/7 Tech Support Hotline, at 866-281-3638.
