Update: A second PepsiCo Dream Machine was installed on the Main Campus in the first floor cafe area in J-Building.
A new user ID sign-in change will make recycling at Joliet Junior College’s PepsiCo Dream Machine easier for students, staff, and the public.
To comply with the Dream Machine’s system, new and current users need to create a 10-digit user ID to continue recycling and obtaining points.
New users can create an account at www.PepsiCoRecycling.com, and follow the instructions on the site to create their ID.
Current users will receive a prompt when they log on to PepsiCo’s website. They can create their own 10-digit user ID by filling in the numbers they want in the “Membership ID” field.
When using the Dream Machine, enter in the ID, and follow the instructions on the screen to recycle and earn points.
The Dream Machine is an electronic recycling kiosk located in the Campus Center cafeteria that awards each person five points for every can or bottle recycled. Once 100 points are earned, they can be redeemed for discounted products from entertainment, shopping, or dining venues.
JJC currently ranks no. 2 in PepsiCo’s college recycling challenge. JJC has recycled more than 2,000 beverage containers since the Dream Machine’s implementation in September.
