Musica Viva Concert to Feature JJC’s Rich Moore, Faculty Jazz Ensemble Oct. 12

The Joliet Junior College Fine Arts Department will host a Musica Viva concert featuring JJC Fine Arts Professor Rich Moore and the JJC Jazz Faculty Ensemble on Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre on the Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road in Joliet. The concert is free to the public.

The JJC Jazz Faculty Ensemble consists of Dave Nuccio on piano, Steve Jacobson on guitar, Adam Cowger on drums and cymbals, and Moore on tenor saxophone. During the concert, special guest Brien O’Callaghan will preform with the faculty on acoustic bass.

The JJC Jazz Faculty Ensemble was formed at the college this year as a way to offer more music variety to the community as well as showcase the skilled jazz educators who teach at JJC. The group will perform a mix of original compositions and jazz standards during the Musica Viva concert.
