JJC to Host Author Talk on Climate Change Sept. 18

Joliet Junior College will host “Communicating Sustainability & Climate Change – A Value Based Approach with George Marshall,” on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m. in D-2002 on the Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Rd. in Joliet. The event is free and open to the public.

Marshall, an activist, scholar and comedian, recently released a new book titled “Don’t Even Think About It: Why Our Brains Are Wired to Ignore Climate Change,” with positive reviews by Bill McKibben, James Hansen, and Bill Nye. Copies of the book will be available to purchase and Marshall will be available to sign books after the event.
