JJC Offering New Online Career Assessment Service

A new, free online tool for job seekers called Career Coach is now available on Joliet Junior College’s website at www.jjc.edu/info/careercoach.

“This is a wonderful tool for anyone who needs help identifying the right career path for them,” said JJC Director of Workforce Development Paige Vanderhyden. “Job seekers of any age can use this program to discover what their strengths and work styles are, which are essential to finding the right position and excelling in that career. There are so many invaluable resources on Career Coach for job seekers.”

On the webpage, users can browse job titles and see salary data and open positions in the local area; they can review degrees JJC offers that would lead toward specific careers; they can take assessments that will identify their personality types and match them to the best careers; and they can get help building a high-quality, targeted resume.

“Whether you are a Baby Boomer looking for that second or retirement career, or a recent high school graduate unsure of what direction you should take, this tool will absolutely help you determine the next step that is best for you,” added Vanderhyden.

Career Coach is free and available to anyone seeking career guidance.
