Incumbent Wunderlich and Newcomer Broderick Win JJC Trustee Seats

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, the winners of the two open JJC Board of Trustees seats in the April 7 election are as follows:

–          Robert Wunderlich, 21,114

–          Maureen Broderick, 13,264

Election results will be official on April 28. Results become official after validation and counting of provisional and grace period ballots (within 14 calendar days of the day of the election) and after canvass has been completed (seven calendar days from the completion of validation).

Robert Wunderlich, an incumbent, has served on the JJC Board of Trustees for 38 years. Broderick, a newcomer to the JJC board, has 12 years of experience serving on the New Lenox School District 122 Board.

The second incumbent, Sue Klen, who has served on the JJC board for six years, came in fifth place with 12,005 votes.

Six candidates total vied for the two open seats in this election. Vote totals are as follows:

–          Robert Wunderlich: 21,114

–          Maureen Broderick: 13,264

–          Diane Harris: 13,072

–          Sharon Hicks: 12,906

–          Sue Klen: 12,005

–          Michael Venegas: 8,294
