Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh of Vietnam, president of the Vietnamese Association of Community Colleges (VACC) and president of Tra Vinh University, paid a special visit to Joliet Junior College last month to begin a collaborative partnership with the college.
In addition to meeting with college administrators, sitting in on classes and taking a tour of the college, Dr, Khanh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with JJC President Dr. Debra Daniels, indicating the commitment of JJC and the VACC to begin a partnership. The VACC consists of 57 universities, community and technical colleges across Vietnam.
“We were honored to welcome Dr. Pham Tiet Khanh to campus,” said Dr. Daniels. “His visit allowed us a chance to get to know more about the Vietnamese Association of Community Colleges, and for him to see JJC and learn what we have to offer. We are looking forward to a wonderful partnership in the future that will expand global education for students from both of our countries.”
