JJC Wolves Baseball Team Advances to NJCAA Division III World Series

The Joliet Junior College Wolves baseball team will advance to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III World Series in North Carolina after they won two games against the Illinois Valley Community College Eagles at Boomer Stadium in Schaumburg during the NJCAA Region IV Championship May 15 and 16.

This is the 16th time the Wolves have achieved the title of NJCAA Region IV Champions since 1994. They defeated IVCC with a score of 5-4 on Friday, May 15, and a score of 5-1 on Saturday, May 16.

The Wolves will play against Montgomery College (Maryland) in the NJCAA Division III World Series beginning on Saturday, May 23 at Grainger Stadium in Kinston, North Carolina.

In addition to JJC, seven other teams across the nation have qualified for the Division III World Series, including teams from New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Minnesota.

The Wolves were Division III World Series champions in 2012, 2008 and 1994.
