For anyone considering college and wanting to learn more about what Joliet Junior College has to offer, Discover JJC on Saturday, Nov. 7 is the perfect opportunity to do just that. The college-wide open house runs from 9 a.m. to noon on the Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road in Joliet.

Faculty members from JJC’s academic programs will be on hand to meet potential students and their families, talk about degree and certificate programs, and answer questions.

“It is a great opportunity to not only come out and see the campus, but also to speak directly to the academic department that you are interested in,” said JJC Recruitment Specialist Sue Callans. ”Our programs can lead students directly to employment or successful transfer to a four-year school.”

Attendees are invited to take self-guided tours of Main Campus and visit the various departments, where representatives will be available to explain and showcase their programs.

Schedule of events:

  • Welcome from JJC President Dr. Debra Daniels: 9:10 a.m., cafeteria
  • “Getting Started at JJC” presentation: 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., U-Building presentation room, first floor
  • “Paying for College” presentation: 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., U-2021, second floor
