The JJC Foundation and Athletics Department partnered together for the first time to host the Haunted 5K Run in October, and raised a total of $40,300 for student scholarships, college programs and athletics. This event raised $4,000 more than the Foundation’s standalone 5K, held in 2014.

In all, 414 runners registered for the event, some of which dressed in spirited Halloween costumes. The top three winners in each age and gender category received a plaque or a medal, and a trophy was awarded to the fastest runner in costume.

Since the Foundation began hosting the annual 5K seven years ago, a total of $199,800 has been raised.
