JJC Automotive Program Partners with Hyundai to Host Free Car Care Event April 2 at Silver Cross Field

Community members are invited to get free, expert advice on their vehicles from the JJC automotive program in a special event the program is hosting with Hyundai at Silver Cross Field in Joliet on April 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The vehicle care services offered will be similar to what the automotive program hosts every fall in conjunction with Discover JJC. Those who attend will get the following areas checked on their vehicles:  
stock automotive

  • All lights, interior and exterior
  • All fluids including engine oil ,power steering, brake fluid and coolant
  • Battery condition
  • Belts and hose condition
  • Air filter
  • Tire pressure and condition

“We are excited to offer community members not only a chance to get a basic safety evaluation of their vehicle, but the opportunity to get to know the JJC automotive program,” said Automotive Professor Josh Graf. “We are also incredibly grateful to our partner Hyundai for helping us bring this event to our community.”

The Automotive Service Technology program at JJC is recognized as one of the premier automotive training programs in the Midwest.  Serving both the degree-seeking student as well as the professional technician seeking to upgrade their skills, our NATEF certified program offers an A.A.S. degree as well as several certificates to prepare the student for success in a wide variety of industry careers.
