Community members are invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the new location of JJC’s Morris Education Center on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 4 p.m. at 725 School Street in Morris, IL.
The MEC occupies approximately 5,000 sq. ft. of the former Shabbona Middle School, and will has a resource area for job seekers, tutoring/testing space, three classrooms, two computer labs, and space for Grundy Workforce Services.
The new location opened for classes in 2016, and currently serves approximately 300 students a year from the western portion of the college’s district. Now, college officials hope to double that number over the next three years.
To RSVP for the event, please call the Communications and External Relations Office at (815) 280-2659.
