ITT Tech Students—Continue Your Education at JJC: Financial Assistance Available

A Message from Dr. Judy Mitchell, President of Joliet Junior College:

In the wake of news that ITT Tech has closed its doors, displacing thousands of students across the country and hundreds here in Illinois, I want to offer Joliet Junior College as an educational resource and first choice for ITT students looking to continue their educational pathways.

Each pathway is unique, and each student has unique goals and needs. JJC can meet those needs. We are unwavering and committed to educating generations of students. And we’ve been doing it successfully since 1901. Yes, that’s right—for 115 years. We’re the nation’s first public community college and proud of that pioneering spirit, a spirit that carries through today in our classrooms, partnerships, and programs.

With six campuses and extension centers, 184 programs of study, nearly $800,000 in scholarships given annually, and robust student support services, JJC provides the foundation necessary to complete your education with significantly less financial burden.

For instance, a typical full-time student at JJC this semester will pay $3,750 in tuition and fees, significantly less than $13,214 a semester at a public Illinois four-year university, and $30,385 at a four-year private university.

I’m excited to announce that for the first 40 ITT Tech transfer students to register at JJC, the JJC Foundation will provide $750 in financial assistance that each student can apply toward their education.

If your goal is to complete a bachelor’s degree, there are many transfer opportunities available by attending JJC. If you want to earn new or update existing certifications, we will help you do that, too.

There are so many options for you—I encourage you to connect with us today to learn how we can support your success. Our spring semester registration starts in October—don’t delay!

For personalized help and assistance, please call Dr. Trevell Eddins, our dean of enrollment, at (815) 280-2884 or email teddins@jjc.edu.

We look forward to supporting your success!
