The Joliet Junior College Fine Arts Department continues its Musica Viva concert series with a performance from the JJC Faculty Brass Ensemble on Sunday, Feb. 12, at 3 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 416 North Chicago Street in Joliet.
Admission is free and the public is invited.
The Faculty Brass Ensemble features: Charles Morgan, conductor; Philip Spencer, organist; Rich Blaha, french horn; John Cryder, tuba; Lauren LeMahieu, trumpet and Jeff McMillin, trumpet. Performances will include a variety of bass and organ musical selections using diverse instrumental groups from many musical eras.
The Joliet Junior College Musica Viva Concert series has provided excellent musical offerings to the college and community for many years, always free-of-charge. Typically held at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoons during the fall and spring semesters at JJC’s Main Campus, the series has featured outstanding national and international guest artists, JJC faculty and JJC alumni. For the 2016-2017 season, Musica Viva offers seven exciting concerts. The Musica Viva Concert series is generously supported by the JJC Foundation and members of the JJC community.
