Future College Students of All Ages Invited to Discover JJC March 4

High school students and their families, and anyone considering college and wanting to learn more about what Joliet Junior College has to offer, are invited to Discover JJC on Saturday, March 4. The college-wide open house runs from 9 a.m. to noon on the Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road in Joliet.

Faculty members from JJC’s academic programs will be available to meet potential students and their families, talk about degree and certificate programs, and answer questions.

With more than 180 degrees and certificates to choose from, small class sizes, flexible schedules and transfer programs, any student can pursue their passion at JJC for an affordable cost.

“It is a great opportunity to not only come out and see the campus, but also to speak directly to the academic department that you are interested in,” said JJC Recruitment Specialist Sue Callans. ”Our programs can lead students directly to employment or successful transfer to a four-year school.”

Attendees are invited to take self-guided tours of Main Campus and visit the various departments, where representatives will be available to explain and showcase their programs.

Schedule of events:

  • Student/Parent Welcome from JJC President Dr. Judy Mitchell: 9:10 a.m., cafeteria
  • “Getting Started at JJC” presentation: 9:30 and 11 a.m., U-1022 and U-1024
