Recycled Art Show Returns to JJC April 19

Come one, come all! The public can vote in Joliet Junior College’s Recycled Art Show this Earth Day, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Main Campus Center Bridge at 1215 Houbolt Road in Joliet.

This is the seventh year JJC Student Government members are hosting the Recycled Art Show in celebration of Earth Day.

The show will feature artwork made up of at least 75 percent recycled materials.

The Recycled Art Show always attracts the curiosity of passing students and others because the possibilities are endless.

Pam Dilday, JJC’s director of student activities and campus life, said the artwork is a way for students, faculty and staff to utilize recycled materials in a creative way.

“We want to show those who attend creative ways to reuse materials they may have around their houses,” she said. “The projects we receive are so creative and such good examples of creativity! We look forward to seeing what projects come in for the show.”

First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded $100, $75 and $50 gift cards respectively.
