JJC Faculty Union Awards Annual Scholarships

The Joliet Junior College Faculty Union has awarded $7,800 in scholarships to local students this year.

“One of the best days of the year for our union executive board is when we get together and award scholarships to local students,” said Faculty Union President Bob Marcink. “As educators, we know how important education is, and we are proud to be able to help students in their pursuit of a richer, more fulfilling life.”

The scholarship winners are:

Tyler Angus of Ottawa, IL: $900
Kenneth Bonomo of Coal City, IL: $400
Joseph Crump of Joliet, IL: $900
Hannah-Beth Griffis of Plainfield, IL: $600
Alexander Jedlicka-Kriz of Frankfort, IL: $600
Zachary Martin of Lockport, IL: $400
Sam Muszynski of Plainfield, IL: $400
Justine Neill of Joliet, IL: $600
Courtney O’Donnell of New Lenox, IL: $600
Gina Russo of Plainfield, IL: $900
Heather Zelko of Minooka, IL: $600

The Faculty Union has been awarding scholarships annually since 1996.
