JJC’s annual Guitar and Percussion Ensembles Concert will be held on Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre on Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road in Joliet.
The JJC guitar ensemble will perform a variety of duos, trios, and small ensemble arrangements. The program will feature an eclectic mix of compositions and styles, including Duke Ellington, Tchaikovsky, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Ike Turner, and Friedrich Kuhlau.
the JJC Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Adam Cowger, will perform a wide variety of percussion music featuring works by Brian Blume, Dan Moore, Jonathan Ovalle, Christos Rafalides, Clif Walker and traditional Brazilian samba drumming.
